Sorghum Speakers on Lowering Costs, Increasing Profitability

Managing production costs to maximize profitability was a key theme at the 2017 Nebraska Sorghum Symposium. Managing herbicide-resistant, yield-robbing weeds was part of that message, as shared by Nebraska and national speakers focusing on sorghum production. Five of these presentations are shared here. Jhala Receives Early Career Outstanding Weed Scientist Award

February 1, 2017
Amit Jhala, Nebraska Extension weed management specialist and frequent contributor to CropWatch, has been honored with an Early Career Outstanding Weed Scientist Award by the Weed Science Society of America. This award recognizes outstanding contributions made by an early career weed scientist in research, extension, and/or teaching in the US. Jhala joined the University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty in 2012 and has a split appointment in research and extension in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture.
