Ag educators can learn about irrigation systems and related teaching curriculum at the 2017 Irrigation Agriculture Faculty Academy. The national conference, sponsored by the national Irrigation Foundation, will be held in Grand Island June 8-9.

Small Scale Farming Workshop April 8
Looking to learn how to produce your own food or start a diversified agriculture business on your acreage or in your backyard? UNL Extension will be hosting Small Spaces, Big Potential: a Small Scale Farming Workshop on Saturday, April 8.
The workshop will be held in Nebraska City at the Kimmel Education and Research Center (5985 G Road) beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m.
Program on Drones in Ag April 6 in Harrisburg
A roundtable discussion and demonstration designed to inform agriculture producers of opportunities to use drone technology in their operations is scheduled for April 6 at Harrisburg. The program will be held from 1-3 p.m. at the Banner County Museum.

Nebraska Extension Tractor Safety and Hazardous Occupations Courses will be held at nine sites this year. Teens 14 or 15 years old who will work on a farm should plan to attend.
