Wheat variety Buckskin

Buckskin is a moderately early maturing, tall variety with good yield stability in the Nebraska panhandle and surrounding dryland production areas. It has fair winter hardiness, good test weight patterns, long coleoptile, good tillering ability, moderately strong straw, and good milling/baking qualities. Buckskin was developed by Nebraska and the USDA-ARS from the cross Scout/4/Quivira/2/Tenmarq/3/Marquillo/Oro. Non-complementary varieties include Scout 66, TAM 105, and Trego.
