USDA to Survey County Small Grains Acreage

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will survey producers in 32 states, including Nebraska, to collect information on total acres planted and harvested, and yield and production of small grains crops down to the county level.

For the week ending July 4, 2021, there were 6.1 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 6% very short, 36% short, 56% adequate and 2% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 8% very short, 38% short, 53% adequate and 1% surplus.

Nebraska soybean stored in all positions totaled 57.7 million bushels, down 48% from last year. Corn stocks in all positions totaled 504 million bushels, down 11% from 2020.
