As Crops Emerge Install ET and Soil Moisture Sensors
As growers complete corn and soybean planting, it's a good time to install Atmometers or ETgages as well as Watermark Sensors. We hope you won't need to irrigate for several weeks, but now is the time to begin making plans.

We are starting to get more reports of spider mites damaging corn and soybeans in eastern Nebraska. Previously we had reports of Banks grass mites colonizing corn near wheat in central and western Nebraska.

Farmland values increased in the Panhandle over the last year, but not as much as they did statewide, according to a report from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
