UNL CropWatch Jan. 19, 2011 Nebraska 2011 Winter Wheat Seedings Down from Last Year

Nebraska's winter wheat seedings for the 2011 crop are expected to total 1.55 million acres, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Nebraska Field Office. Seedings are down 3% or 50,000 acres from last year — the smallest winter wheat planted acreage since records began in 1909.
