CW 09-10-23 USDA: Cattle on Feed

Nebraska feedlots, with capacities of 1,000 or more head, contained almost 2.2 million cattle on feed on October 1, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Nebraska Field Office. The inventory was up 3% from last year.
Placements in feedlots during September totaled 550,000 head, the same as last year.

"Managing the Risks of Farm Price Volatility and the Global Recision" will be the theme of a multi-state crop insurance conference in November.
The workshops are a joint effort of Colorado State University Extension, Kansas State University Research and Extension, and University of Nebraska—Lincoln Extension.
