Nebraska July 1 Wheat Production Forecast Higher

July 10, 2009 Based on July 1 conditions, Nebraska's 2009 winterwheat crop is forecast at 78.2 million bushels, up 9% from last month's forecast and6% above last year's crop, according to the Nebraska Field Office of USDA's NationalAgricultural Statistics Service.

USDA: Nebraska Acreage Report

Nebraska producers increased acreage devoted to corn, hay, oats, and sugarbeets from a year ago, while decreasing acres planted to soybeans, winter wheat, sorghum, dry edible beans, proso millet, and sunflowers, according to a June 30 report from the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service Nebraska Field Office.
