The crop clinic, Subsurface Drip Irrigation: Nuts & Bolts, will be held tomorrow, August 18, at UNL's South Central Agricultural Laboratory near Clay Center. Thus is the third in a series of seasonal clinics at the ag lab. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the program running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Suat Irmak, extension water resources engineer, will discuss considerations for adopting this technology and give tours of subsurface drip irrigation systems at the research lab. A panel of producers and researchers using subsurface drip irrigation will share their experiences.
The event will be held at the research farm 12 miles east of Hastings on Hwy 6 or 4.5 miles west of Hwy 6/14 juniction north of Clay Center. An application has been made for CCA credits.
