USDA has designated 15 counties in Nebraska as primary natural disaster areas due to flooding that began May 1, 2011, and continues.
The counties are: Boyd, Burt, Cass, Cedar, Dakota, Dixon, Douglas, Knox, Lincoln, Nemaha, Otoe, Richardson, Sarpy, Thurston, and Washington.
Farmers and ranchers in the following counties also qualify for natural disaster assistance because their counties are contiguous: Antelope, Cuming, Custer, Dawson, Dodge, Frontier, Gage, Hayes, Holt, Johnson, Keith, Keya Paha, Lancaster, Logan, McPherson, Pawnee, Perkins, Pierce, Rock, Saunders, and Wayne.
