Trends in the ag real estate prices and lease rates in the Nebraska Panhandle will be the topic of a presentation by UNL Ag Economist Bruce Johnson April 3 at Scottsbluff.

Johnson will review his annual survey and discuss implications and future trends for the Panhandle during a teleconference. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Bluestem Room at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center at Scottsbluff.

Johnson surveys ag real estate sellers annually and publishes the results in UNL's annual Farm Real Estate Market Development Survey. The publication holds many interesting items this year, as optimism in the grain markets, high forage costs, drought, water restrictions and investors have all contributed to changes in agricultural real estate prices and lease rates.
