Farmers and Ranchers College to Host an Evening of Humor
February 27, 2009 If the nightly news has been a little gloomy lately, take heart. The Farmers and Ranchers College and UNL Extension are hosting Staying Alive, a humorous presentation for farm families, on March 17 in Sutton.
The mother-daughter team of Joan Burney, counselor and columnist, and Juli Burney, humorist and author, will provide a light-hearted program aimed at helping farm families improve their overall mental, emotional, and physical well-being. The program is designed for those involved in farming operations.
The meal begins at 6 p.m. in the Community Building in Sutton, with the program to follow. The program is free thanks to contributions from the Farmers and Ranchers College sponsors; however, meal reservations must be made by March 11. To reserve your spot, call the Fillmore County Extension office at (402) 759-3712.
