USDA: Winter Wheat Condition Above Average - Nov. 14, 2011 - UNL CropWatch

For the week ending November 13, near normal temperatures and mostly dry conditions allowed for more than six days suitable for field operations, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Nebraska Field Office. Statewide, corn harvest progress was 95% complete. Progress is near two-thirds complete in the Panhandle while the rest of the state is mostly finished. Sorghum harvest was winding down and 92% complete.

Winter wheat condition rated 0% very poor, 1% poor, 22% fair, 67% good, and 10% excellent, well above the 45% good to excellent last year and the 65% average.
