U.S. Farm Report to Bring College Road Show to Nebraska

“U.S. Farm Report” a syndicated television show focused on news from the agriculture and agribusiness industries will bring its college road show to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln on Oct. 24. Filming will begin at 3 p.m. on the East Campus Mall near Chase Hall.

On the air for over 40 years, “U.S. Farm Report” is the longest-running syndicated program focusing on agriculture news and business, rural issues, and the country lifestyle. The show airs on about 175 stations, plus RFD-TV, reaching over half a million viewers each week. “U.S. Farm Report” is hosted by multi-media agricultural journalist Tyne Morgan.

The show will feature several stories on research and activities in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, and a roundtable discussion featuring Brad Lubben and Cory Walters from the Department of Agricultural Economics. Before the television broadcast, “AgriTalk Live,” a one-hour syndicated radio talk program, will also broadcast from campus.

Students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to attend and participate in the filming. Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive at 2:30 p.m. Games, activities, and supplies to make signs will be available. “U.S. Farm Report” will make a prize donation to the agriculture student organization showcasing the most spirt during the filming.
