Livestock producers and small-acreage owners in southeast Nebraska will have the chance to sharpen their land and livestock management skills at Nebraska Extension’s 2025 Southeast Nebraska Pasture and Acreage Expo, set for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Lancaster County Extension office in Lincoln.
The free, daylong event includes lunch and features sessions led by university experts and industry professionals on practical strategies for improving pasture productivity, animal care and acreage value. Morning sessions will focus on pasture and horse management, while the afternoon will feature hands-on sprayer setup and drone demonstrations for pasture and livestock management. Attendees may come for the full program or drop in for individual sessions.

- 8:30–9 a.m. — Registration, refreshments and welcome
- 9–9:45 a.m. — Cedar Control and Woody Species Management in Pasture
- 9:45–10:30 a.m. — Pasture Grass Recommendations and Nutrient Management
- 10:30–11:15 a.m. — Pasture Weed Management
- 11:15 a.m.–12 p.m. — Horse Management: Supplemental Feeding During Pasture Rest
- 12–1:30 p.m. — Lunch, sponsor introductions and exhibitor booths
- 1:30–2:30 p.m. — Spray Setup Demonstration (Four-Wheeler Mixing and Handling)
- 2:30–3:30 p.m. — Spray Drone Demonstration
- 3:30–4 p.m. — Door prize drawing and event wrap-up
Throughout the day, participants will have opportunities to visit exhibitor booths, network with experts, and connect with agribusiness sponsors.
This program is offered at no cost to participants, with lunch included, thanks to support from Nebraska Extension and event sponsors.
