Nebraska grain stocks on Dec. 1, 2025 reflect a year of ample production and shifting storage patterns, with total corn and soybean inventories notably higher than a year ago while sorghum stocks tightened sharply. Corn stocks climbed into the mid-1.5 billion bushel range, driven largely by a significant increase in on-farm storage, even as off-farm holdings edged lower. Soybean stocks followed a similar pattern, posting double-digit gains overall with strong increases in both on-farm and off-farm positions.

Wheat stocks were essentially steady year over year, with modest gains in off-farm storage offsetting a decline in on-farm inventories. In contrast, sorghum stocks fell sharply across all positions, reflecting substantially smaller inventories compared with 2024.
