From food systems to sustainability, this Heuermann Lecture examines how constructive dialogue can help agriculture navigate its toughest challenges.

In a world shaped by diverse perspectives, one thing remains clear: thoughtful dialogue helps drive meaningful progress. This is especially true in agriculture, where our shared work influences how we feed people responsibly, nutritiously and sustainably.

As the global population surpasses 8 billion, the need for productive, solutions-focused conversations has never been greater. When we listen, learn and engage with openness, we create space for stronger ideas and better outcomes.

The featured speaker for the Tuesday, March 3 Heuermann Lecture is Tamar Haspel, a James Beard Award–winning Washington Post columnist who writes about food systems, diet and the environmental impacts of agriculture. She will explore how constructive dialogue can bring people together to tackle some of the most complex challenges in food and agriculture.

The lecture is free and open to the public and will begin at 4 p.m. in the auditorium of the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center, 2021 Transformation Dr., Lincoln.
