Nebraska crops continue to mature at a steady pace, with corn and sorghum trailing normal development while soybeans near the end of pod set. Oat harvest is nearly complete, and dry beans show strong conditions heading into fall.

For the week ending Sept. 2, 2025, Nebraska producers averaged 6.2 days suitable for fieldwork. Topsoil moisture was rated 4% very short, 16% short, 69% adequate, and 11% surplus. Subsoil moisture was 5% very short, 23% short, 64% adequate, and 8% surplus.
