Nebraska producers negotiating rental agreements this fall are weighing higher costs, evolving lease provisions and questions about fair crop-share arrangements. An Agricultural Land Lease Workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Chadron State College’s Bordeaux Room will help address these challenges with up-to-date information and guidance from Nebraska Extension.
This session will the latest trends in cash rental rates, lease provisions, and crop-share lease considerations, equipping both landlords and tenants with tools and strategies to make ag land leases with confidence. Participants will gain insights from Nebraska Extension Educators Jessica Groskopf and Brock Ortner, who will present findings from the 2025 Nebraska Farm Real Estate Survey. Additionally, they will cover common lease provisions for agricultural land and share effective tips for enhancing landlord-tenant communications.
