In this episode of N Field Observations, Nebraska Extension Weed Management Specialist Amit Jhala and UNL doctoral student Ankit Yadav examine whether residual herbicides applied before and after soybean emergence can provide season-long control of herbicide-resistant Palmer amaranth. They compare 15- and 30-inch soybean rows and explain how row spacing and overlapping residual herbicide applications can work together to reduce late-season escapes and seed production.
