Farmers and agricultural industry professionals can learn practical strategies for improving water and nutrient management during the From Water to Yield: Practical Systems That Work Workshop on Thursday, June 11, at the Davenport Community Center.
The workshop will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The program will bring together producers, industry leaders, researchers and agricultural stakeholders to explore management tools and innovations that can help improve productivity, conserve water and support long-term sustainability.
Presentation topics include:
- “Insights From Managing Irrigation in Corn at UNL’s South Central Ag Lab”
- “How Water Moves in the Soil via Subsurface Drip Irrigation Systems”
- “Water Quality and Fertigation”
- “ACREE: Nebraska’s Free Irrigation Scheduling App”
- “In-Season Nitrogen Management”
- “What’s New in the Little Blue Natural Resources District”
A farmer panel will also share how area producers are using tools and management practices to improve nitrogen and irrigation decisions on their farms.
