Nebraska Extension and Nebraska Sorghum invite producers and agribusiness professionals to the 2026 Nebraska Sorghum Field Day from 4–7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, near Indianola.
Hosted by Tracy Zink, attendees will have the opportunity to tour 22 milo varieties, and view on-farm research trials on population and row spacing. There will also be updates from Nebraska Extension Specialist Nicolás Cafaro la Menza about sorghum projects in Nebraska and Lucas Haag, Kansas State University associate professor of agronomy, for a broader regional perspective. A meal will follow the field tours.
Registration is required for a meal count.
Location and directions: Road 398, Bartley, NE 69020 (near Indianola). From Indianola, travel about 1.5 miles east, turn north on Road 398 and continue another 1.5 miles. The field will be on the west side of the road. View approximate field location in Google Maps
