Growers, agronomists and soil health enthusiasts are invited to step into decades of research and innovation at the 2025 Rogers Memorial Farm Field Day on Thursday, Sept. 25. Located just east of Lincoln, Rogers Memorial Farm has become a living classroom for no-till farming, cover crops and regenerative practices — and this free event offers a rare chance to see its long-term experiments and conservation legacy up close.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., participants will explore cover crop mixture plots, learn double cropping and water management strategies, review data on cover crop impacts on soil health, and take part in a live soil health assessment demonstration. Attendees will also enjoy a guided tour of the farm’s history and long-term research plots.
“Rogers Memorial Farm’s proximity to Lincoln and its legacy of conservation practices make this a must-see site for anyone interested in soil health and sustainable production,” said event organizer Katja Koehler-Cole, Nebraska Extension educator.
There is no cost to attend, and lunch is included thanks to generous support from Nebraska Extension and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
Please register online by Sunday, Sept. 21. For more information, contact Katja Koehler-Cole, Nebraska Extension educator, 402-624-8042, or John Nelson, Nebraska Extension educator, 402-441-7180.
Rogers Memorial Farm is located at 18600 Adams St., Lincoln.
