Nebraska Soybean Production Clinic Planned for Feb. 11 in Aurora

This free, one-day event is a must-attend for soybean producers looking to boost profitability and make data-driven decisions for a better harvest.

Nebraska Extension wants to help you take your soybean production to the next level with topics relating to IPM for successful weed management, irrigation, nutrient needs for Nebraska soybean, and much more. The 2025 Nebraska Soybean Production Clinic will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Nebraska, starting at 9 a.m. with breakfast refreshments and time to visit with the vendors at the display booths.

Presentations will start at 9:30 a.m. with USDA updates and conclude about 3:45 p.m. with door prizes. The event has a great lineup of excellent speakers focusing on all things soybeans, plus several ag display booths.

The educational program, sponsored by Nebraska Extension, begins at 9:30 a.m. and includes the following presentations:

  • Advanced Agronomy Cultural Practices
  • 2025 Soybean Budgets — Resources Available to Help You Keep Tabs and Make Decisions
  • Insect Management in Soybean
  • Management of Plant Diseases in Soybean Including White Mold
  • The All New UNL CropWatch Website
  • IPM for Successful Weed Management in Soybean
  • Nutrient Needs for Nebraska Soybean
  • Irrigating Soybean

CCA credits are available for each presentation.

This ag day event is consistently ranked by the farmers who attend as one of the best educational ag events.

“The one-day, research-based clinic starts at the big picture level and then drills into the issues that are central to making soybean production decisions with the goal of a more profitable crop,” said Steve Melvin, Nebraska Extension cropping systems educator and event coordinator. “The day is free of charge to the participants thanks to our sponsors and exhibitors. The noon meal is being provided by the Hamilton County Corn Growers.”
