Average yield is forecast at 29 bushels per acre, down 18 bushels from 2025. Area to be harvested for grain is estimated at 580,000 acres, down 28% from a year ago.
Oat production is forecast at 851,000 million bushels, down 15% from last year. Average yield is forecast at 37 bushels per acre, down 13 bushels from 2025. Area to be harvested for grain is estimated at 23,000 acres, up 15% from a year ago.
