In the January 2025 webinar for Second Tuesday at 9, Nebraska Extension Meteorologist Eric Hunt shares insights on 2024's record warmth, recent cold and snowfall (or lack thereof, in some places), upcoming cold, and the possibility of a more active pattern opening up later this month into February. He also highlights the possibility of drought improvement in the Western Corn Belt this spring, worsening drought in western Nebraska, and the possibility of a hot, dry summer across the region.

Second Tuesday at 9 is a monthly Nebraska Extension webinar hosted at 9 a.m. CT/8 a.m. MT. The next webinar will be a special joint session on Friday, Feb. 14 featuring Eric Snodgrass of Conduit Ag. To attend an upcoming webinar or watch previous recordings, visit the Second Tuesday at 9 page.
