Every growing season comes with a long list of decisions — when to irrigate, how much nitrogen to apply, how to manage crop development and when to market grain. Beginning June 30, Nebraska producers and ag professionals can see how those decisions are playing out in corn and soybean competition fields across the state.
Farmers, crop advisors, agribusiness professionals and agricultural partners are invited to attend the 2026 UNL Testing Ag Performance Solutions Field Days at three Nebraska locations this summer.
UNL-TAPS uses farm management competitions to create a low-risk learning environment where participants make real-world management decisions and benchmark their results with peers. The program brings together producers, researchers, extension educators, crop consultants and industry partners to evaluate how management decisions affect profitability, input use efficiency and crop performance.
The UNL-TAPS Field Days will provide an opportunity to tour TAPS competition fields, see how the crop is progressing, discuss current management strategies, and connect with other producers, industry partners, researchers and the UNL-TAPS team.
Field day topics will include irrigation management, nitrogen management, crop management, marketing decisions, crop budgets, grower management strategies, and the 2026 market outlook. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how TAPS participants are making in-season decisions.
