What if healthier soils could save inputs and strengthen your operation at the same time? Learn how at the 2026 Nebraska Soil Health Conferences.

From input costs to long-term resilience, soil health decisions play an increasingly important role in how Nebraska farms plan for the future.

To support those decisions, Nebraska producers, landowners, and agricultural professionals are invited to attend the 2026 Nebraska Soil Health Conferences, a pair of free, one-day events focused on practical, research-based strategies for improving soil health and regenerative agricultural systems.

The conferences will be held at two locations in February:

  • Southeast Nebraska Soil Health ConferenceMonday, Feb. 2, 2026, at the Auburn Christian Church Family Life Center, 1407 Courthouse Ave., Auburn
  • Central Nebraska Soil Health ConferenceWednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at Lochland Country Club, 601 W. Lochland Rd., Hastings

Both conferences will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and educational sessions starting at 9 a.m.

The Nebraska Soil Health Conferences bring together farmers, researchers and industry professionals to share insights on regenerative practices that support both farm profitability and long-term soil resilience. Program topics across the two locations include farmer experiences with regenerative practices, soybean management using regenerative approaches, reducing input costs with healthier soils, extending crop rotations, and grazing cover crops.

“These conferences are designed to provide practical, Nebraska-relevant information that producers can evaluate and apply on their own operations,” said Katja Koehler-Cole, statewide soil health extension educator with Nebraska Extension. “Hearing directly from farmers alongside researchers and industry helps connect the science with real-world decision-making.”

The events are free to attend and include lunch, but pre-registration is required. Participants are encouraged to register by Monday, Jan. 26 for the Auburn conference and by Wednesday, Feb. 11 for the Hastings conference.
