The October Second Tuesday at 9 webinar gave Nebraska growers a timely look at how weather patterns are shaping up heading into late fall.
Nebraska Extension Agricultural Climatologist Eric Hunt recapped how summer and early fall temperatures and rainfall compared to normal, shared the latest drought and soil temperature updates, and walked through what the short-term and seasonal forecasts could mean for fieldwork and moisture recovery. He also discussed the shifting odds between La Niña, El Niño and neutral conditions and what those patterns might bring for temperatures and precipitation through December.
