Nebraska Extension will host a series of Beef Update meetings combined with private pesticide certification opportunities in Valentine, Stuart and Brewster this January. These meetings are designed for beef producers and agricultural professionals seeking timely research-based information, along with opportunities to earn required certifications.
In addition to beef management and pasture topics, private pesticide certification (initial and recertification) will be offered at all three locations. Initial beef quality assurance (BQA) certification will be available at the Brewster and Valentine meetings, with continuing education opportunities offered at all locations.
Valentine
Wednesday, Jan. 14 — Begins 10 a.m. at Mid-Plains Community College, Valentine

- Private Pesticide Certification — Amy Timmerman
Registration and Costs
- Private Pesticide Certification (initial or recertification): $60
- Beef Quality Assurance: $20 per person or a flat fee of $100 for operations bringing five or more participants
Producers planning to attend BQA training are encouraged to pre-register online.
