Nebraska Extension’s Drone Test Prep Course lands in Grand Island Nov. 20 — just in time for the Nebraska Precision Agriculture Conference the next day. Combine certification with the latest in precision ag insights.

In conjunction with the second annual Nebraska Precision Agriculture Conference, Nebraska Extension will host its final Part 107 Remote Pilot Exam Prep Course of the year on Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Hall County Extension Office in Grand Island, 3180 US-34 Hwy.

This comprehensive eight-hour course prepares participants for the FAA Aeronautical Knowledge Exam, a key requirement for earning a Remote Pilot Certificate to operate drones commercially.

Registration is $275, which includes lunch and study materials. Educational discounts are available — interested participants should contact instructor Dirk Charlson to apply. Pre-registration is required by Monday, Nov. 17.

If you can’t attend this session, don’t worry — the course will be offered again beginning in January 2026 and will continue through August 2026. Watch for updates on the 2026 schedule coming soon.

And don’t forget to join us for the second annual Nebraska Precision Agriculture Conference the next day, Friday Nov. 21 at Hall County Extension Office. Participants are encouraged to register by Wednesday, Nov. 19.
