County-level estimates for 2025 small grain acreage, yield and production are now available, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The estimates, based primarily on surveys conducted with farmers and ranchers last fall, can be accessed using the Quick Stats online database.
County-level small grain estimates are not published if any of the following conditions exist:
- Estimated harvested acres are less than 100.
- Insufficient number of producer reports were received to establish statistically defensible estimates.
- Estimate would not guarantee confidentiality of reported data from an individual producer.
For a simpler way to search county-level estimates, USDA Quick Stats Lite provides a more streamlined option for basic crop data searches than the full Quick Stats database.
To view county-level crop estimates in USDA Quick Stats Lite:
- Select “Crops” under Sector
- Select “Field Crops” under Group
- Choose the crop you’re interested in under Commodity
- Under “View,” select:
- “Acreage, Yield, Production and Price” for standard county estimates, or
- “Acreage, Yield and Production – Irrigated/Non-irrigated” for irrigated and dryland breakdowns
- Continue filtering by state, county and year as needed
Nebraska county-level data are available for crops such as corn, soybean, sorghum, oats and wheat.
