Extension educators in Butler, Colfax, and Saunders counties are monitoring flight activity of three moth species this summer. Pheromone traps are being used for variegated cutworm, armyworm, and black cutworm moths.
Trap data is included below and will be regularly updated on CropWatch.
Moth activity was fairly light in late May and early June, partially due to either cold and/or windy nights that can limit flight activity.
Michael Rethwisch, Extension Educator in Butler County
Aaron Nygren, Extension Educator in Colfax County
Keith Glewen, Extension Educator in Saunders County
