West Central Crops and Water Field Day Aug. 21 near Brule

The UNL West Central Crops and Water Field Day will showcase irrigation practices and cropping systems that maintain or increase crop production while conserving water. The Aug. 21 field day will be at UNL's West Central Water Resources Field Laboratory near Brule.

Participants will hear from UNL extension specialists and educators and industry leaders on water issues that may affect their operations.

Registration will start at 8 a.m. (MT) and the workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by field tours in the afternoon. The event will end at 2:15 p.m.

The field day will be presented by UNL Extension in the University's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the West Central Research and Extension Center.

The event is free and includes lunch; however, registrations are needed by Aug. 15 for planning. CCA credits have been applied for in soil and water.
