The UNL Panhandle Research and Extension Center at Scottsbluff will be hosting a Weed Science Field Day to showcase the latest weed control research for irrigated crops.
The field day will be Thursday, June 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the UNL PREC, located just north of Scottsbluff on Highway 71.
Visitors will be able to view research plots in a variety of crops including alfalfa, sugarbeets, corn, and dry beans. Weed control programs for Roundup Ready® corn, conventional corn, RR sugarbeet, and RR alfalfa will be shown. Lunch will be provided for field day participants.

Wyoming Tour
Later on June 20, at 3 p.m., the University of Wyoming will be hosting a weed science tour at the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Extension Center near Lingle, Wyoming, approximately 40 miles northwest of Scottsbluff.
