Youth currently in grates 3-6 are invited to a Progressive Agriculture Safety Day Thursday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Fillmore County Fairgrounds in Geneva.
Highlights of this year's program include display of a special lifeline helicopter from Good Samaritan Hospital and a visit from a Channel 10-11 meteorogologist.
The event focuses on safe living habits in rural communities and on the farm. There will be demonstrations and hands-on activities throughout the day.
Pre-registration is required and the cost is $5. A registration form is available on the Fillmore County Extension website. For more information, call the Extension Office at 402-759-3712.
