Children can learn about safe living habits in rural communities and on the farm. The day features demonstrations and hands-on activities related to tractor, fire, electrical, lawn mower, weather, and animal safety, healthy lifestyles, and seat belt use.
Pre-registration for the Fillmore County event is encouraged before April 26 and costs $3; later registration costs $5. Registration includes lunch, snacks, a T-shirt, and “goody” bag. Parents must complete a release form on the Fillmore County website for participants to attend.
This event is being sponsored by UNL Extension in Fillmore County, the Shickley and Geneva FFAs, 4-H clubs and W.I.F.E. For more information, please call the Extension Office at (402) 759-3712 or visit their website at fillmore.unl.edu.
