Organic Production Workshop March 19

A workshop on organic production is set for Wednesday, March 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Grant. Topics will include reasons for organic farming with UNL Extension Sustainable Ag/Landscape Design Specialist Chuck Francis; economics and marketing of organics with UNL Extension Educator Terry Gompert; cover crops, organic certification and grass-fed beef/organic livestock production.
The workshop is sponsored by UNL Extension, NRCS and the North Central Region of USDA's Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program.
