Dawson and Hall counties led the state in total corn production in 2006. This week USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service released the report in its April 25, 2007 Nebraska Agri-Facts. Overall, state production was 1,178,000,000 bushels on approximately 7,750,000 acres, with per acre average yields of 184.8 (irrigated) and 101.0 (dryland).
