Farm Bill Choices — Brad Lubben, UNL Extension public policy specialist, outlines the choices farmers will need to make under the new Farm Bill, including base reallocation, yield updates and Price Loss Coverage or Agricultural Risk Coverage. There are still upcoming meetings at certain locations in Nebraska where producers can learn more about their options. The USDA's Farm Service Agency also has more information on ARC and PLC on its website.

2014 Soybean Day — The 2014 Nebraska Soybean Day and Machinery Expo will take place Thursday, December 18 in Wahoo. Keith Glewen, UNL Extension educator, outlines the event. The program is sponsored by the Nebraska Soybean Board, UNL Extension and the Saunders County Soybean Growers Organization.

Crop Sensing — Josh Miller, UNL Doctor of Plant Health student, talks about how crop sensing technology may be able to teach us more about soybean performance during the growing season.

Weather Forecast — Al Dutcher, UNL Extension state climatologist, gives his forecast for the coming week.
