Nebraska Crop Production Economic Data, Worldwide Research Topic of Jan. 8 Seminar
Economic data from crop production in Nebraska and how it is being used in a worldwide research effort, will be the topic of a public seminar presented Friday, January 8, in Scottsbluff.
"Agribenchmarking: Using Nebraska Data on a Global Scale” will start at 3:15 p.m. in the Bluestem Room at the UNL Panhandle Research and Extension Center, 4502 Avenue I.
Paul Burgener, ag economics research coordinator at the PHREC will explain how UNL is participating in a global economic research data project hosted by a group in Germany. His talk will include information about the agribenchmark project as well as agriculture in United Kingdom, based on a trip to London last June. He'll also present a poster session on Nebraska ag systems that was presented at AgriTechnica, the world’s largest ag trade show in Hanover, Germany.
