Agriculture Matters Seminars Explore Ag Opportunities
February 2008
A Nebraska producer organization, the Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska (A-FAN), is hosting Agriculture Matters seminars February 25 at the Holiday Inn Express in Norfolk and March 3 at the Holiday Inn York I-80 near York. The seminars are free and will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end by 4 p.m.
"These seminars are designed to help agricultural producers explore new opportunities to expand their operations and to help ensure they remain viable into the future. Whether they're looking to grow their current operation or looking for ways to bring the next generation back to the farm, these seminars will offer real tools they can use," said Roger Berry, A-FAN field director. UNL Extension specialists are included among the speakers.
To pre-register or to view the full agenda, visit the A-FAN Web site at www.a-fan.org. To register by phone call (402) 366-8001 or (402) 736-4691. Walk-in registrations the day of the event also will be accepted.
Funding for the seminars is provided by the Nebraska Corn Board. A-FAN is a non-profit agriculture promotion, education and producer assistance organization. It was formed in 2006 by the Nebraska Cattlemen, Nebraska Corn Growers Association, Nebraska Farm Bureau, Nebraska Pork Producers Association, Nebraska Poultry Industries, and Nebraska Soybean Association.
