Crop Skills Challenge at Lot #942

The interactive event will pit participants against each other, not just in physical farm skills, but more in skills between the ears in crop production. This year, participants will be challenged on drone regulations and imagery matching, cover crop identification, insect feeding and herbicide injury identification, and an irrigation scheduling challenge. Participants will also have the chance to try their hand at setting siphon tubes. Hosted by UNL Testing Ag Performance Solutions (TAPS) and extension’s water and cropping systems team.

Make sure to also stop across from the Big Red Building to get your UNL Dairy Store Ice Cream and see the UNL Quarter-Scale Pulling Tractor.

We all look forward to seeing and visiting with all HHD participants! This year the show is offering free tickets — visit the Husker Harvest Days site for more information.
