In Nebraska, one in four jobs is related to agriculture and natural resources. These jobs span everything from production and ag business to ag tech and present a wide and growing array of career options for Nebraska youth.
To prepare the K-12 students for these and other careers, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is working with educators across the state to introduce agricultural concepts into the classroom. In this RFD-TV segment, Tammy Mittelstet, the statewide education and careers pathways coordinator for the College of Agricultural Science and Natural Resources, talks about the educational programs offered.
