Hunting Leases and Legal Considerations

According to Nebraska Game and Parks, 97% of the land in Nebraska is privately owned. Therefore, obtaining access to private lands is one of the biggest challenges facing today’s hunters. Leasing the hunting rights of agricultural land can generate additional income for landowners. However, some landowners are hesitant given the potential liability.

In this webinar, Extension Educator Jessica Groskopf and Ag Law Specialist Dave Aiken cover Nebraska recreation and agrotourism laws and review ways to mitigate liability. They also discuss working with multiple tenants and developing hunting lease agreements.
