Crop Progress: Winter Wheat Rated at 37% Good

For the week ending Jan. 2, 2022, topsoil moisture supplies rated 21% very short, 47% short, 31% adequate and 1% surplus, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 19% very short, 49% short, 32% adequate and 0% surplus.

Field Crops Report:

Winter wheat condition rated 8% very poor, 11% poor, 42% fair, 37% good and 2% excellent.
