There isn’t an industry or community in the country not impacted in some way by the COVID-19 pandemic - those in Nebraska’s ag industry included. As an essential link to the state’s economy, it is crucial for those living and working on Nebraska’s farms and ranches to have access to information regarding the preparedness and prevention of the disease. As the response to the pandemic is quickly changing, up-to-date information will help you stay healthy and capable of meeting the day-to-day needs of your farm, especially as the busy spring season fast approaches.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center’s (UNMC) Office of Rural Health has developed an easily accessible list of online resources and information specific for rural areas. On the website, you will find information from national and UNMC experts, the Central States Center for Agriculture Safety and Health (CS-CASH), have access to episodes from RFD-TV’s Rural Health Matters where Jeffrey Gold, M.D., Chancellor of UNMC and UNO, discusses rural health issues, including the COVID-19 pandemic among other resources.

If you have questions or would like additional information, you may reach Nikki Carritt, Director of Rural Health Initiatives at UNMC via email at ncarritt@unmc.edu.
