UNL Seeking Beta Testers for New Online Agricultural Budget Calculator

The Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is preparing to launch the first phase of an online Agricultural Budget Calculator (ABC) tool and is looking for beta test participants to use the program, report any issues, and provide feedback at this point in its development. The online application will eventually include livestock enterprise budgeting, but for now, testing will focus on the crop portion of the program.

For many years the department has released updated crop enterprise budgets on an annual basis in PDF and Excel spreadsheet formats. The 2021 budgets are available now for download. The online ABC tool builds on these crop budgets and provides farm managers and producers a new way to use the budgets and customize them as their own or build their own budgets from scratch.

If you are interested in beta testing the program, please visit the ABC page for complete details and fill out the form found there. Please agree to test the program only if you are willing to complete a follow-up questionnaire and discuss how the program works for you.
