PP&DC Disease Reports

The following diseases were reported in samples submitted to the UNL Plant and Pest Diagnostic Lab from July 21 to August 8.

Soybean

Southeast District – Frogeye leaf spot, Phytophthora root and stem rot, sudden death syndrome

Northeast District – Brown stem rot, stem canker, frogeye leaf spot

Corn

East District – Common rust, Southern rust, Gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, smut, northern corn leaf spot, Diplodia leaf streak, Goss’s wilt, bacterial leaf streak

Southeast District – Common rust, gray leaf spot, Physoderma brown spot, bacterial leaf streak

Northeast District – Common rust, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, anthracnose leaf blight, Physoderma brown spot, bacterial leaf streak, bacterial stalk rot

South District – Common rust, Southern rust, gray leaf spot, Physoderma brown spot

Central District – Common rust, Southern rust, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, smut, Physoderma brown spot, fusarium stalk rot, Goss’s wilt, bacterial leaf streak, Holcus spot
