By Randy Pryor - Extension Educator

The Southeast Nebraska Corn Growers Association is hosting its Annual Field Day, Wednesday, August 29 at 6 p.m. near Dorchester. The host cooperator is Darrel Stehlik of Dorchester.

Eleven companies have entries in the field trial with two entries per company.  After seed company representatives at the field site talk about hybrid traits and significant factors in the 2018 growing season, there will be a meal at the Dorchester Community Center. The featured guest speaker will be Paul Jasa, Extension Engineer with Nebraska Extension.  Jasa will be talking about his current research with cover crops in relation to no-till planting equipment and the effects on weed control.

Site Location

From the intersection of HWY 33 and Road 1900 (2 miles west of Crete or 4 miles east of Dorchester), turn north ¼ mile on Road 1900 and the irrigated plot site is on the west side of the road.
